MY FIRST CLASSROOM!

I have found that there is nothing like the feeling of walking into your first classroom. It is a blank canvas just waiting for your special touch and boy did I have my work cut out for me! My vision of my art room is a place where when kids walk in they say 'WOW!". This is not exactly what I walked into, but there was a TON of wonderful aspects of the room for me to start with.

This is a picture of my room after I worked some of my magic! :)

The whole front wall is a bulletin board (CHA-CHING!) but it was a hideous orange-brown color. Instead of wasting bulletin paper or spending money on fabric I asked if I could paint it. I got the okay from my principal to paint it purple, one of our school colors and my favorite color ;), and boy did it make a huge difference! No problems with tacs or staple going in, I definitely recommend this!

I purchased these paper parasols from http://www.lunabazaar.com/ for a very good price! They will help me identify the tables and aid in teaching my students about color theory. Plus, they look fantastic! :)

My huge storage room after I organized it from top to bottom! Everything is now labeled and organized. I am so lucky to have this huge storage room (love it!!)
